Summer’s Hottest Acts Perform on “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock” Airing Tuesday, August 4 on ABC

NASHVILLE – Summer’s hottest artists will perform on “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock” airing Tuesday, Aug. 4 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network and hosted for the third time by reigning CMA Vocal Group of the Year Little Big Town.

Filmed during CMA Music Festival in June, the special features many of today’s most exciting Country Music stars, including Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Lee Brice, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Brett Eldredge, Florida Georgia Line, Randy Houser, Sam Hunt, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Maddie & TaeKip MooreBrad PaisleyRascal FlattsThomas RhettDarius RuckerCole SwindellCarrie UnderwoodKeith UrbanChris Young, and Zac Brown Band as they hit the stage during the four-day party and celebration of America’s music.

“CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock” first aired on ABC in 2005. This is the 11th time ABC is broadcasting the special – which invites the whole country to America’s largest Country Music celebration. The annual special will air on ABC through 2021.

Airing Tuesday, Aug. 5 2014, “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock” (8:00-11:00 PM/ET – 7.2 million and 1.8/6 in AD18-49), earned its second-highest numbers in five years in Viewers and Adults 18-49, while equaling an eight-year high in Adults 18-34. The broadcast ranked No. 1 on Tuesday across all key Adult demos: AD18-34 (1.4/6), AD18-49 (1.8/6) and AD25-54 (2.3/7-tie). In viewers and young adults, ABC delivered its strongest non-sports summer Tuesday since 2010 (Memorial Day-Labor Day) – since 6/1/10 and 8/31/10, respectively.
