CMA SONGWRITERS SERIES RETURNS TO CMA THEATER DURING CMA MUSIC FEST JUNE 7 IN NASHVILLE

Top Tunesmiths Barry Dean, Brett James, Jon Nite, and Don Schlitz to Share the Stories Behind their Hit Song

WHAT: The CMA Songwriters Series returns to Nashville at the CMA Theater in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum during CMA Music Fest on Wednesday, June 7 (7:00 PM/CT, doors at 6:00 PM/CT). This special edition of the CMA Songwriters Series will boast chart-topping songwriters Barry Dean, Brett James, Jon Niteand Don Schlitz, who is also a 2017 Country Music Hall of Fame Inductee.Since 2005, CMA Songwriters Series has been presenting the very best of Country Music’s songwriters, whose hits are known worldwide. CMA Songwriters Series has presented more than 100 shows in 17 cities. The shows are intimate presentations where songwriters can exhibit their craft and share many of the stories behind the songs they have penned.

WHO: Three-time CMA Song of the Year winner Schlitz (“The Gambler” recorded by Kenny Rogers; “On The Other Hand” and “Forever and Ever, Amen” recorded by Randy Travis), with hit songwriters Dean (“Pontoon” and “Day Drinking,” recorded by Little Big Town and “Girls Chase Boys,” recorded by Ingrid Michaelson), James (“Cowboy Casanova” recorded by Carrie Underwood; “The Truth” recorded by Jason Aldean; “Out Last Night” recorded by Kenny Chesney), and Nite (“Strip It Down” recorded by Luke Bryan; “Beachin’” recorded by Jake Owen; “Break On Me” recorded by Keith Urban).
