ABC DAYTIME STARS MAKE APPEARANCES AT 2008 CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL
The TV Talent Hosts an ABC Block Party, Festival Concerts and Meet Fans

NASHVILLE – The stars of ABC’s “All My Children,” “One Life to Live,” and “General Hospital” are back in 2008 for several events and appearances during CMA Music Festival, which is held Thursday through Sunday, June 5-8, in Downtown Nashville.

The four-day party and music celebration will air as a special, “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock,” Monday, Sept. 8 (9:00-11:00 PM/ET) on ABC.

“Our fans really enjoyed meeting and interacting with ABC’s daytime stars last year, so we couldn’t be happier that they are joining us again,” said Tammy Genovese, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “Country Music and daytime television have a lot in common. And at the heart of both industries, is a genuine relationship between the artists and actors and their fans.”

“We see so many of our fans at the CMA Music Festival. We are thrilled to participate in the event again this year. It’s a great four days,” said Brian Frons, president, Daytime, Disney-ABC Television Group. “Our actors will be very involved in the events and participate in everything from concert performances and autograph signings to the Block Party on Saturday. We hope to interact with and entertain our fans as often as possible.”

Actors participating in CMA Music Festival include:
“All My Children”Bobbie Eakes (“Krystal Carey”), and Ricky Paull Goldin (“Jake Martin”).

“One Live to Live”Kassie DePaiva (“Blair Cramer”), and Kamar de los Reyes (“Antonio Vega”).
 
“General Hospital”Bradford Anderson (“Damian Spinelli”), Rebecca Herbst (“Elizabeth Webber”), and Jason Thompson (“Dr. Patrick Drake”).
 
They’ll be busy! The actors will host concert performances at the Greased Lightning® Daytime Stages at Riverfront Park; participate in storytelling in the McDonald’s® - Dr Pepper® Family Zone; take part in the Celebrity Sports Challenge presented by Glacèau Vitaminwater®, hosted by Steve Azar, in the Chevy(tm) Sports Zone; and introduce artists performing Saturday, June 7, during the Nightly Concerts on the VAULT(tm) Concert Stage at LP Field.

The actors will also make a stop at the ABC Block Party, which takes place on Saturday, June 7, from 1:30-5:00 PM/CT at the stage facing Fifth Avenue between the Nashville Arena and the Hilton Hotel. Fans will enjoy performances, giveaways and special activities at this free event hosted by Bob Guiney, "The Bachelor" (season four).
